Sos Eremos
Sardinian Spirit are truly delighted to be able to offer its customers a wholly unique Sardinian holiday experience in stunning surroundings. Sos Eremos is a small and welcoming guesthouse, nestled in amongst majestic mountains, 20 minutes drive from the coastal town of Bosa, a beautiful journey through unspoilt countryside to the clear waters of the Mediterranean. Fishing, sailing and diving can be found here and exploration of the old town and its castle is a must. Alghero is 30 miles away.
Sos Eremos Guesthouse
The accommodation consists of 3 double bedrooms (1 superior with its own balcony and terrace) all with their own en-suite. There is a comfortable lounge, large living kitchen and dining room The villa is set on 3 levels. On the ground floor there is the kitchen, dining room and cellar. The kitchen has an island unit with double hobs and two electric ovens, a wood fired oven and an open fireplace.
It is comfortably furnished with dining facilities including a large breakfast bar. This leads into an atmospheric dining room with seating for 12 persons. There is also a cloakroom on this floor. Outside access can be obtained through the dining room or kitchen and leads to a large terrace. This first floor can be accessed from an open staircase from the kitchen or through the patio area located here. The tastefully decorated lounge is situated on this floor and has antique and contemporary furniture. Breathtaking views over the surrounding area is provided by the four sets of French doors which lead onto a large balcony, garden terrace and a covered patio area. The superior bedroom is also located on this floor and has its own balcony and terrace. The en-suite also has a bath as well as a separate shower.
An open staircase from the lounge leads to the two other bedrooms. These are located on this floor and are full of character and charm. The rooms are furnished to a high standard and, being the most elevated, have spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. This floor also has a shared balcony. All of the bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities and television.
Surrounding area
Sos Eremos also operate a small working vineyard which is 5 minutes walk to the village of Padria, which has 860 inhabitants, 3 bars, 3 general shops, a butchers and a bakers. It was also the site of Gurulis Vetus and boasts Roman archaeological sites together with remains of the ancient Nurhalgic civilisation which is prevelant in the area.

They have produced their own wine, olive oil, vinegar and preserves and have a passion for high quality Sardinian food. If you choose to eat with the owners - Ann and Steven, you could be served on one of their terraces in the summer or maybe in front of the open log fire during cooler months. It is a perfect centre to explore coastal, naturalistic, cultural, gastronomic and archaeological destinations characteristic of NW Sardinia.
About the owners
Steven Capell is an experienced professional chef who has cooked around the world and together with his partner Ann ran an award-winning restaurant in England and a hotel/restaurant in Almeria, Spain. Sos Eremos is set in the centre of a small working vineyard with olive and fruit trees, vegetable plot and herb garden, this allows delicious breakfasts using local and home grown produce honey and meats to be made.
